Description: A professional membership organization instituted in 1949. Since 1985 the usual admission requirement is a bachelor's degree. All criteria (i.e. classes, papers, work experience) must be completed and the intermediate and final examinations passed before qualifying for Associate Membership. Considered an admissible level to a Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy degree program by many Indian universities (the Master of Commerce or Master of Business Administration is usually required).
Grading system: Grading is on a percentage scale. 40% minimum pass for each paper. 50% pass for each group. Failed examinations are repeated.
