Melissa CharenkoMelissa Charenko’s research explores the origins, development, and consequences of discussions about anthropogenic change and deep time. Through her research Charenko aims to show that the knowledge generated by the paleo-disciplines challenged assumptions about the stability of earth’s systems and the future of life by both lengthening and broadening the scale of earth’s history, which transformed the way environmental change and human agency were understood.
