Dean’s Online Chat

On January 19, 2017, we hosted a live online chat with Graduate School Dean William J. Karpus, open to all graduate students in online degree programs. Click here to view a transcript of the chat.

As the Dean of the Graduate School, I am always looking for new ways to connect with graduate students to learn about their experiences at UW-Madison.  I’d like to invite you to join me, fellow graduate students and staff from the Graduate School in an online conversation.

Your comments will contribute a student perspective to the Graduate School’s planning and direction and will help us obtain a clearer picture of where to most effectively target our talents and resources.  In particular, I would like to get a sense of your concerns, aspirations, and challenges as a graduate student engaged in distance learning at UW-Madison.  I am reaching out to you because we want ensure that students with non-traditional study situations from across the four graduate program divisions are included in the conversation.
