About the Special Education Program

Special Education offers a teacher certification M.S., a general M.S., and a Ph.D. program. The M.S. programs prepare students to serve as resources and advocates for persons with disabilities, and to work cooperatively both within and outside schools to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. The Ph.D. degree prepares Special Education researchers and leaders who will contribute to increasing equity, enhancing teacher efficacy and improving post-school outcomes.
