About the Civil and Environmental Engineering Program

The CEE department offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs for on-campus students. The M.S. emphasizes professional knowledge, skills and research techniques. The Ph.D. focuses on research with an emphasis on original approaches to problem-solving. Students typically earn an M.S. first, but may work directly toward the Ph.D. if admitted to the Ph.D. program. An online Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering degree and six accelerated MS programs are also offered.
