About the Educational Psychology Program
Our department develops and applies cutting-edge scientific knowledge concerning: the psychological and social processes that underlie learning; the design of effective instruction; the factors affecting the mental health of learners of all ages; and the methodological tools required to generate this knowledge. U.S. News & World Report (2016) once again ranks our department the No. 1 Ed Psych program in the nation. UW's School of Ed has ranked in the top ten in 16 out of the last 17 years.
