About the Electrical Engineering Program
The ECE department offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs for on-campus students. The M.S. emphasizes professional knowledge and skills and can be completed with or without a research component. The Ph.D. is a research degree emphasizing original approaches to problem-solving. Funding is not guaranteed and applicants should be prepared to fund their degree. The department awards a small number of research assistantships, teaching assistantships, project assistantships, and fellowships each year. All applications are automatically considered for department funding. Students in the online Power Engineering program are not permitted to accept assistantships.
