About the Electrical Engineering Program
The ECE department offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs for on-campus students. The M.S. emphasizes professional knowledge and skills and can be completed with or without a research component. The Ph.D. is a research degree emphasizing original approaches to problem-solving. Students typically earn an M.S. first but may work directly toward Ph.D. Online students, please refer to information about our M.S. in Electrical Engineering - Power Engineering program http://distancedegrees.engr.wisc.edu/msee
