About the Epidemiology Program
The overall goal of the graduate program in epidemiology is to prepare students to create, integrate, disseminate, and apply knowledge in epidemiology. As a founding discipline of public health, epidemiology seeks to identify and characterize the determinants of disease and health-related conditions in the population. The curriculum for the program has been developed around core competencies in epidemiological research methods, biostatistical methods, and biology.
