About the Food Science Program

The Department of Food Science and affiliated faculty offer students research and educational programs that encompass the core disciplines of chemistry, microbiology and food safety, engineering, and nutrition. Advanced degrees in food science at both the M.S. and Ph.D. levels leverage ample opportunities for academic teaching and research; government/industrial research and regulatory activities; and product/process development, quality assurance, entrepreneurial, and management positions.
