Careers in finance are quite varied and, depending on the occupation, require different strengths to be successful.

Commercial bankers help business customers determine the best financial solutions for their needs, therefore good problem solving skills are a must. An investment banker may be involved in researching financial tools, trading bonds, or providing merger and acquisition advice, so a good understanding of financial statements and business strategy is key. Investment managers generate good returns on an investors’ funds, which means the ability to analyze statements and make sound financial decisions is critical.
