Introduction to Finding Data Sets
Disciplinary expertise and interdisciplinary connections Inquiry, discovery, and creation
Learn core strategies to find public and research datasets from a variety of disciplines. We will cover the basics of two databases, Data Citation Index (provides a single point of access to quality research data from repositories across disciplines and around the world) and Data.gov (searches 300,000+ datasets from the U.S. federal, state, and local governments), as well as address important considerations when evaluating and using datasets.
