William J. Karpus

As Dean of the Graduate School, Karpus provides leadership for all aspects of the graduate student experience, from recruitment through graduation, and serves as a campus-wide leader in graduate education. He is responsible for approximately 11,000 graduate students in over 160 master’s/specialist and over 110 doctoral fields of study. As Vice Provost for Postdoctoral Affairs, he oversees the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and promotes excellence in postdoctoral training for more than 800 postdocs on campus.
