Transfer Credits for Prior Coursework

The Graduate School allows programs to accept transfer credits for previous coursework under specific conditions. Any prior coursework must have been rigorous and meet the expectations of graduate work for the degree.

Transfer credits:

• do not count toward your graduate GPA
• can count toward graduate/professional certificates
• must be earned within 10 years of admission to a graduate program. Your program may have a stricter time limit for transfer credits.
